What happens when a black, gay teen in a small Kansas town discovers Angel's in America at the library? 

when last we flew, the breakout hit at the 2010 NY Fringe Festival, is a moving coming-of-age story about family, love, sexuality, race and personal revelation. Written by Harrison David Rivers, when last we flew has received workshops at the Lincoln Center Director's Lab, New York Theatre Workshop and the Sundance Theater Lab.

In August, 2010, when last we flew premiered to critical acclaim at The New York International Fringe Festival, where it won awards for Outstanding Play and Outstanding Performance (actress Rory Lipede). As a result, the production has been invited to appear in the FringeNYC Encores Series, with 4 additional performances scheduled for Thursday, September 9th, 9:30PM; Saturday, September 11th, 5:00PM; Sunday, September 12th, 8:00PM; and Thursday, September 16th, 7:00PM at The Lucille Lortel Theater.
